The Program
This was an effort to establish a systematic data base of natural disaster events in Nepal, and was carried out with the financial support from UNDP, Nepal. The project consisted in collection, computer-entry, and analysis of natural disaster data during the period of past 33 years (1971-2003). A standard data collection format was developed and used to capture the data from different sources and entered into the software "DesInventar", a methodological tool developed by Latin American Network of Social Studies on Disaster Prevention (LARED).
