Highlights
1. On 6 November 2023, another aftershock of 5.8 ML struck with the same epicenter as previous.
This caused more damage to the previously partially damaged buildings.
2. Rt. Hon. President Ram Chandra Paudel visited Jajarkot accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister
and Minister for Defence Purna Bahadur Khadka, Chief of the Army Staff General Prabhu Ram Sharma
and Karnali Province lawmakers.
3. Government of India handed over two consignments of earthquake relief materials.

6. 263 Nepal Army, 740 Nepal police and 334 Armed Police Force Nepal are deployed for the search,
rescue and relief activities.
Situation Overview
Today the Rt. Hon. President Ram Chandra Paudel visited Jajarkot to check on the injured survivors of
the disaster. The survivors requested adequate medical care, food, and shelter. President assured them
that their needs would be met and promised to discuss the issue with the government.
Representing the Government of India, Deputy Chief of Mission, Shri Prasanna Shrivastava, officially delivered two consignments of earthquake relief materials to Chief District Officer of Banke, Mr. Shravan Kumar Pokharel. The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Prashant Bista, the Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City.
The initial consignment, totaling more than 11 tonnes, was provided on November 5, 2023. It included essential items such as tents, tarpaulin sheets, blankets, sleeping bags, as well as crucial medical supplies and equipment. Subsequently, on November 6, 2023, a second consignment weighing 9 tonnes arrived in Nepalgunj. This shipment, transported via a special Indian Air Force C-130, comprised medical and hygiene supplies, tents, sleeping bags, and blankets.
