The Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment and Planning (MHRP) Division aims to ‘develop risk assessment guidelines, tools and conduct hazard and risk assessment’ to support activities of NSET and other stakeholders. The specific objectives are to develop and conduct risk-assessments for earthquake and multiple-hazards, support for planning and decision-making at different levels and scales based on the results of risk assessment, explore and use applicable and relevant spatial analysis tools/platforms (e.g., GIS and Remote Sensing) for hazard and risk assessment and more.
Under the Division, there are 2 units: Assessment and Planning, and GIS, Mapping and Remote Sensing.
