Risk Governance and Community Resilience (RGCR) Division
The Risk Governance and Community Resilience (RGCR) Division aims to assist all tiers of government and the communities to formulate and implement effective Risk Governance System and help create disaster resilient communities. Specific objectives of RGCR Division are to work with NDRRMA and all tiers of government agencies in drafting legal documents (acts, bylaws, safety codes, standard Operating Procedures, directives etc.) based on current SWOT and Gap Analysis of the existing DRR system and to implement some activities in line with annual workplan of public entities, work with Metropolitan/Sub-Metropolitan Cities, Rural/Urban Municipalities and their communities to establish and implement DRM activities including effective implementation of building code through risk governance mechanism, plan and conduct awareness and training programs, workshops, seminars etc. for the capacity development of government agencies and communities in DRR Mainstreaming and Community Resilience and others.
