The SSCFH Division aims to create safe learning environments and promote resilient infrastructure development. Its core objectives are to retrofit and reconstruct school buildings, develop DRR guidelines and training materials, and integrate risk reduction concepts into education systems. The Division also focuses on ensuring the safety and resilience of critical facilities and lifeline systems through improved construction practices and quality assurance mechanisms. It operates through two units: Safer Schools and Engineering for Safer Infrastructures (ESI).
