Orientation program held in Panauti
Panauti Municipality conducted one day orientation program on Local Disaster Risk Management Planing (LDRMP) Guideline and National Building Code with technical support from National Society for Earthquake Technology on 10 July 2014.
The program was attended by 46 persons which included political party representatives including the founder leaders of Panauti Municipality, Journalists, Social Workers, tole development committees and Municipal officials. The program was inaugurated by the Chief and Executive Officer of Panauti Municipality. All the participants actively participated in the interactive presentations on.
LDRMP, Earthquake Risk Reduction and National Building Code. The participants of the interaction program urged municipality officials to initiate the process of LDRMP and National Building Code without any delay and expressed their commitment to support the municipality in this endeavor.
Chief and Executive Officer Mr Dipendra Ragmi thanked all the participants for their active support in the program including NSET professionals for their presentation. He also cleared that the municipality will initiate to formulate the Municipal Disaster Risk Management Committee from first week of Shrawan 2014.
