APAD and NSET Collaboration
NSET facilitated Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) International team comprising of A-PAD HQ Japan and A-PAD Sri Lanka and Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) in coordinating relief operations in Sindhupalchowk , the most affected distinct by this Gorkha earthquake from the day they arrived on 28th April, 2015.
NSET facilitated in arranging logistics such as hiring of vehicles to go to different parts of the affected area, in briefing the situation, identifying the most affected area, introducing volunteers and local partners.
APAD/PWJ with local NGO, Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) and its CBO partner Janahit is working in Kubhinde VDC, Sindhupalchowk, the most affected distinct for 700 HH. APAD also chartered a helicopter for its search and rescue team and visited inaccessible areas of Sidhupalchowk like Sim Pani, Gumba, etc
