18th Earthquake Safety Day marked in DAMAK
18th Earthquake Safety Day marked in Damak on 2nd Magh 2072 by conducting mass meeting with the involvement of different stakeholders. Executive Officer of Damak Municipality, Mr. Yubraj Dahal chaired the program and Mrs. Mahindra Devi Subba was the chief guest. During the meeting representatives from various agencies addressed the mass.

Address from the Acting Executive Officer of Damak Municipality:
Yubraj Dahal, Chairperson and also the Acting Executive Officer of Damak Municipality showed his positive response about the implementation of Building Code and committed to follow and monitor it strictly. He also extend his compliment to NSET for the support on the BCI.
Poetry related to earthquake safety:
Jhakri Khole, D B Sharma, Khadendra Subedi and many other poets and writers delivered their articles about the earthquake safety and preparedness. The articles were found to be very effective regarding on public awareness.
MOU:
Memorandum of Understanding for the program BCIPN was signed by Mr. Yubraj Dahal, Acting Executive Director of Damak Municipality and handed it to the NSET representative for the further procedure.
Short presentation from Red Cross- Damak:
Representative from Red Cross- Damak talked about the rescue plan and first aid after earthquake but due to the limitation of time they were unable to demonstrate their presentation.
Speech from the chief Guest:
Member of Constitutional Assembly, Mrs. Mahindra Devi Subba addressed the mass after the workout on MOU. We should focus on labor rather on speeches and talks, she said. She was pretty impressed by the dedication of municipality and the interest of participant.
