Celebrating 18th Earthquake Safety Day In Bheemdatta
District Disaster Relief Committee of Bheemdatta, District Administrative Office, DDC, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Bheemdatta Municipality and NSET-Nepal along with other stakeholders organized Earthquake Safety Day in Bheemdatta, Kanchanpur on 16th January 2016.
To mark the day, Earthquake Safety Rally was started from District Administrative Office, DDC and ended at Bheemdatta Municipality Office, followed by interaction program, earthquake drill, earthquake resistant construction demonstration and trained mason group formation.
Interaction program is addressed by Manohar Prasad Khanal, Chief District Officer, Kanchanpur, Dharmaraj Joshi, Acting Executive Director, Bheemdatta Municipality and Himalayan Singh Ayer, Engineer, Bheemdatta Municipality.
Earthquake Resistant Construction Demonstration was jointly organized by Bheemdatta Municipality and NSET-Nepal. Bheemdatta Municipaity engineer Himalayan Singh Ayer and NSET-Nepal’s engineer Deepak Saud demonstrated and explained the earthquake resistant construction of load bearing brick masonry buildings, reinforced cement concrete buildings and ended with slab test demonstration.
