Orientation Program on Earthquake Safety held in Surkhet
An Orientation on Earthquake Safety held in Birendranagar Municipality, Surkhet on January 25, 2016. There were around 200 participants including people from local communities, political leaders and representatives, municipal staff, tole representatives, social mobilizers from different wards of Birendranagar Municipality.
NSET engineer Deepak Saud conducted Orientation program covering various aspects of earthquake safety promotion at individual and family level and also at local, regional and national level.
Kishor Kandel, Municipal Sub Engineer briefed on provisions to abide by for construction earhquake safe houses and settlements in the Birendranagar municipality area and around.
Chief and Executive Officer of Birendranagar Municipality Balaram Sharma highlighted the need to enhance level of earthquake safety in the communities to reduce potential losses.
