BCIPN conducting more Mason Trainings
A seven-day mason training on “Earthquake Resistant Construction of Buildings” completed in Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City. The training conducted during 4-10 May, 2016. Total 27 local masons and contractors have been trained this time. This is the 6th episode of training in Biratnagar, conducted by NSET’s Building Code Implementation Program in Municipality of Nepal (BCIPN) and funded by USAID/OFDA. NSET, Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Division Office, Morang and Biratnagar Sub-Metroplitan City Office jointly organized the program. There are now more than 140 trained masons working within the Sub-Metropolitan City.
As a part of NSET's Building Code Implementation Program in Municipalities of Nepal (BCIPN), the 7th edition of Mason Training on Earthquake Resistant Construction of Building for masons and contractors has finished in Birendranagar Municipality, Surkhet. This training program was held from 3 – 9 May, 2016 and was jointly organized by Birendranagar Municipality, Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Division Office, Surkhet and NSET with the support from USAID/OFDA. There were 38 participants from different wards of Birendranagar Municipality. After this training there are a total 250 trained masons available for construction of earthquake safer buildings.
