NSET Annual General Meeting held, focus is on Post EQ Reconstruction
The National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) held its 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 11, 2016. Total 15 respective life members including Executive Board Members attended the AGM 2016. The AGM started with the welcome speech by Mr. Varun Prasad Shrestha, President of NSET. Mr. President welcomed all the respected members and appreciate their efforts to be present in AGM. Mr. President stressed on the very need to pay yet more hard efforts from NSET for the cause it has been advocating for more than two decades.
NSET General Secretary, Dr. Amod Mani Dixit presented Progress Report on NSET’s one year achievements, its completed programs and ongoing programs, challenges and way forward. Dr. Dixit marked at massive reconstruction needs and roles NSET has to play. Dr. Dixit also highlighted the NSET’s long term strategy, vision and its trusting & recognition from international and local communities for the reducing risks of earthquake disaster.
The Treasurer of NSET Executive Board, Mr. Yogeshwor Krishna Parajuli submitted Financial Statements of the organization including Auditor’s Reports for the last Fiscal Year.
Concluding the AGM, NSET President Mr. Varun Prasad Shrestha appreciated the efforts of NSET Life/General Members and its Staff for all the continuous efforts to help make Nepali communities Earthquake/Disaster resilient.
