Consultation workshop on Pooled Funding Mechanism
A two day "Consultation Workshop on Pooled Funding Mechanism" was conducted during October 29 - 30, 2018 at Pataleban Vineyards Resort, Chisapani, Kathmandu to formulate the concepts for Pooled Funding Mechanism in Nepal. The two-day workshop was jointly organized by Network for Empowered Aid Response (NEAR), National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) along with other 8 NEAR members of Nepal. The workshop saw the participation of total 26 people representing 9 civil society organizations who are also the members of the NEAR network in Nepal, representatives from the existing network of Nepal, ie; Disaster Preparedness Network (DPNET), National Disaster Management Network, Nepal (DiMANN), and NGO Federation, Nepal. The workshop was organized with the following major objectives; i) Compile major findings of CSO mapping and consultation meetings; ii) Understand/validate the context of NGOs/CSO’s in terms of capacity financial status and governance (Governance); iii) Evaluation of the existing and and potential Pooled funding mechanism; iv) Determine the most appropriate strategies for pooled funding mechanism in Nepal
