Interaction Program on Earthquake Risk Reduction and Building Code Implementation Program (BCIPN) at Nepalgunj Municipality, Banke
An interaction Program on Earthquake Risk Reduction and Building Code Implementation Program in Municipalities of Nepal (BCIPN) was conducted for the social leaders of the Nepalgunj Municipality on 6 December 2013 at the Municipality Office, Nepalgunj, Banke. A total of 47 participants comprising of ward leaders, municipality staff, social mobilizers and other representatives of the community attended the program.
Enumerators Training in Nepalgunj
Similarly another ‘Enumerators Training to Conduct Baseline Survey" was conducted for the enumerators of the Nepalgunj Municipality during 8-9 December 2013 at the Tanduri hotel , Nepalgunj, Banke.
A total of 21 local health volunteer from each ward of the municipality were trained on conducting the baseline survey which included risk perception survey. The enumerators after receiving the training were mobilized in the field for conducting the baseline surveys. The enumerators were also oriented on earthquake basics, earthquake risk reduction, earthquake preparedness and the BCIPN program prior to the baseline survey.
As a component of Monitoring and Evaluation plan for the Building Code Implementation Program in Municipalities of Nepal (BCIPN), Baseline Survey is being conducted in all the 24 program municipalities.
