Building on the Capacity; LSAR Training to NSET Staff & their family members
With an objective to enhance the capacity of its staff on emergency response and preparedness, NSET conducted a one day Light Search and Rescue (LSAR-1002) training for its staff and their family members at NSET Office, Bhainsepati,Lalitpur. The training was conducted in 2 phases during 9 May 2014 and 17 May 2014 respectively.
The training was conducted by a set of nine instructors from NSET. Altogether 43participants, including both NSET staff and their family members got trained on the Basic Light Search and Rescue skills. The training was very fruitful in imparting the basic skills of light search and rescue in case of disasters, remained the impression from the participants.
Emergency Response Trainings is intended to enable the participants to respond to disaster within their limitation prior to any assistance from other or professional rescuers. If the building is safe, they can perform Search and Rescue the victims.
