Butwal Festival ignites, safety messages also included in menu
13th Butwal Festival has been flagged off on December 22, 2014 for two-week long course. Named as National Industrial Exhibition, Agriculture and Tourism Festival 2071 has been organized in Butwal jointly by Rupandehi Industry Association, Butwal and Confederation of Nepali Industries, Kathmandu. This edition of the festival focuses more specifically on promoting the agro-industry including many facets of local traditional and industrial products and their commercialization.
Within flashy trading and marketing atmosphere, Nepal Engineer’s Association (NEA) Butwal Chapter has managed one stall in association with DUDBC and NSET to disseminate message of earthquake safety and preparedness. Organizers claim that nearly one hundred thousand people visited the festival within first two days and they have planned for various cultural and entertainment programs almost daily so as to connect with more and more people.
