A coalition of DRR & CCA: District Project Advisory Committee formed.
District Project Advisory Committee has been formed under the collaboration of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Program. The committee was formally established on Monday, 6th July 2015 at Simikot, Humla.
The formal committee release program was actively participated by the key persons from the government offices as well local stakeholders. Under the Chairmanship of the Chief District officer (CDO), District Education Office, Humla the program was attended by the valued presence of District Superintendent of Police (DSP), Distric Chief of Intelligence Bureau as well others notable government officials. Likewise the District Officer of Women and Children of Humla along with some noteworthy media personnel also participated in the program.
Bishnu Hadkhale from the National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) took an active initiation to facilitate the program. Various ongoing DRR\ CCA based projects and their priorities were widely discussed in the program. All the locals and the participants seemed highly encouraged to work with the UNICEF funded program with technical aid from NSET.
