Mason Training in Putalibazar Municipality, Syangja
Municipalities are intensifying efforts on enhancing local capacity to building earthquake safe houses at the local level. Putalibazar Municipality of Syangja district in western region now adding number of trained masons. Focusing to the masons and contractors working within Putalibazar Municipality, a Five-day Mason Training course on Earthquake Resistant Construction of buildings started on Feb 24, 2016.
This Training program has been jointly organized by Putalibazar Municipality and NSET-Nepal under the USAID/OFDA funded “Building Code Implementation Program in Municipalities of Nepal (BCIPN)”. There are 34 participants (masons and contractors) from different wards of this Municipality.
