Third Series of TOT Concludes at Nilkantha, Dhading
Third Series of Training of Trainers (TOT) has been accomplished at Nilkantha Dhading, on 5th June, 2016 as part of NSET-BaliyoGhar Program. 27 Engineers from DUDBC and 5 from NSET assigned in 'Build Back Safer' campaign participated the Training.
At training they learnt the teaching skills so that they will be able to facilitate the masons in their respective deployed VDCs. They also were made aware of using locally and alternative available resources of construction in an innovative way.
After the completion of training, all the participants acknowledged the Baliyo Ghar where one of the participants, Anil Kumar Chaudhary shared, ‘We are very encouraged by the training. Engineer’s knowledge in building construction was limited to college books and syllabus only and this training gave us the huge opportunity to tap the practical exposure as well as field experience along with in-depth theoretical knowledge.'
Similarly another participant Sabitri Shrestha opined "It would have been a great challenge for us to work in field if mason TOT was not being provided.'
The training course was jointly organized by Department of Building Construction and Urban Development (DUDBC), Division Office, Dhading and NSET in collaboration with Nilkantha Municipality and with funding support from USAID.
