2 ToTs and one more Mason Training concluded in Nuwakot
Two ToTs for Technical Officers from Government and partner agencies working in reconstruction concluded in Nuwakot under Baliyoghar program. With this 214 engineers and sub-engineers of DLPIU- Nuwakot, DLPIU- Rasuwa, engineers of other organizations working in reconstruction and NSET technical officers are trained under #Baliyo Ghar Program. These are the 6th and 7th in the sequel accomplished in the district.
Similarly, Tenth mason training has also concluded in Thansing VDC on September 29, 2016. Along with this, total of 178 masons have been trained including 5 female masons under #Baliyo Ghar program in Nuwakot District.
The training of trainers has been jointly organized by National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) and Ministry of Urban Development-CLPIU, facilitated by District Level Program Implementation Unit. National Society for Earthquake Technology - Nepal (NSET) is providing the technical assistance for the training under funding support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The mason training has been jointly organized by Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), Division Office, Nuwakot and National Society for Earthquake Technology - Nepal (NSET) in collaboration with Thansing VDC.
USAID funded #BaliyoGhar program is an initiative to support the Government of Nepal’s model of owner-driven housing reconstruction following the Gorkha Earthquake. NSET is providing technical assistance to 9 VDCs and 1 Municipality in Nuwakot district for safe reconstruction through #BaliyoGhar Program.
