One more Batch of TFI Graduates Produced under Baliyo Ghar Program


One more batch of Training for Instructors (TFI) has been produced under Baliyo Ghar Program with the completion of 3rd series of TFI. Altogether, 28 participants; Engineers and Social Development Officers engaged in pos-earthquake activities benefited from the training. Mr. Netra Prasad Subedi, Joint Secretary of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) and Dr. Amod Mani Dixit, Executive Director of NSET were present to handover certificate of completion to the TFI graduates.

Among the participants, 20 were from NSET programs, 2 from Housing Reconstruction and Recovery Platform (HRRP), 3 from Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) and 1 each from Kageshwori Manahara Municipality, Kathmandu, Bhimeshwor Muncipality, Dolakha and Architect Sans Frontier (ASF). The training was held during March 12-16, 2018 at TEWA, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur.

Addressing Closing Ceremony of the training course, Mr. Subedi encouraged participants to implement the knowledge and skills gained through training in the respective field of works and appreciated the efforts of NSET/Baliyo Ghar program in producing skilled manpower to build resilient Nepal.

Likewise, Dr. Dixit shared his experience of conducting TFI in Nepal and its impact in enhancing the personal skills of Instructors and developing qualitative trainings.

TFI is a rigorous 5-day instructor development course. The purpose of the course is to provide the participants with a training methodology and specific personal skills that will assist them in improving their knowledge and skills to develop, present and manage effective training programs.

1st series of TFI and 2nd series of TFI were conducted in Kurintaar, Chitwan and TEWA, Lalitpur respectively. 2 more TFI have been planned in the life of Baliyo Ghar Program.
