NSET and PES Rescue 1122 conduct PEER TFI Pakistan
National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) in collaboration with Punjab Emergency Service (PES) Rescue 1122, is conducting the Training for Instructors (TFI) from June 15-19, 2021, at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore, Pakistan. There are total 27 participants among which 25 participants are from different PES units, 1 from Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Quetta, and 1 from National Highways and Motorways Police.
This is the first time that a PEER instructors’ course is being facilitated through blended learning due to the restrictions of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The participants along with the national instructors are physically present at the training venue, while one regional instructor and course monitor joins the course via online platform. The course is being monitored virtually from Nepal. Said TFI Course has been delivered by NSET under the Program for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) Stage 4 (2014-2021), with funding support from USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).
