Mason Training begins in Darjeeling, India
A 5-day Masson Training program focusing on Earthquake Resistant Building Construction was initiated on January 30 and is scheduled to conclude on February 3, 2024, at the Divy Vani Pastoral Center in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.
The event is being organized by the Anugyalaya Darjeeling Diocese Social Service Society & Caritas India as part of the Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction & Environment (IDRRE) project.
National Society of Earthquake Technology - Nepal (NSET) and Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) provided technical assistance for the training with the generous support from Caritas Germany. ntegrated Disaster Risk Reduction & Environment (IDRRE) project.
A total of 19 local masons are currently participating in the training to improve their skills in earthquake-resistant construction techniques.
